AD Spring 1970
AD Spring 1970. Taking a trip down memory lane… I opened an old issue of Architectural Digest from the spring 0f 1970 and this gem caught my eye. “An American Versaille.” This french style pavilion is located in Santa Barbara California.
DECADES: A Pictorial, revisiting the interiors we love!
The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Jennison
Below is a view of the pool courtyard.
The large 25 x 31 drawing room is furnished in the French style. Provincial pieces are combined with a more formal regency style.
One of the highlights for me in the image below is the coromandel lacquer screen standing behind the games table. And one of the more formal pieces in the room is the Louis XV writing table. A similar one is available at Sutter Antiques.
