]]> Returning for their second year as Basilica Back Gallery Artists In Residence following a uniquely collaborative and multidisciplinary exhibition in 2018, participants in 2019’s Social Justice Leadership Academy – comprised of Hudson youth ages 12 – 20 – will be the first August 2019 participants in the Hudson As Muse Basilica Back Gallery Artist In Residence Series.

The exhibition is free and open to the public from 6PM.

The Social Justice Leadership Academy (SJLA) is a five-week summer leadership training for teenagers growing up in Hudson, based on the principles of social justice and youth-led change. Led by Kite’s Nest, a center for liberatory education in Hudson, NY

The Hudson As Muse Basilica Back Gallery Artist In Residence Series invites artists to explore the location itself as muse, and to create work with the eclectic present and past of this river city as central inspiration.
